MEDIA AND INFORMATION LITERACY

                          MEDIA LITERATE INDIVIDUALS Enables people to interpret and to    informed judgments as users of information and media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information and media messages in their own right. There are many advantages to the people who are media literate  they will be  a responsible citizen, knowledgeable, i mproved learning environment, i mproved quality of life, r aise awareness, p eople or the netizens can evaluate the information, p revents foolishness,  i mproved information literacy skills and  e nhance communication skills and socially active. And also  being media literate has a disadvantages is lack of emotional connection, gives people a license to be harmful, facilitate laziness, reduces family closeness and causes of distraction.

        Opportunities, Power,Challenges of Media Information As we know from the recent ubiquity of online digital video, video has become a compelling tool for educational representation. Students use it in their projects; teachers and pre-service teachers use it to study pedagogy; and, researchers use it for capturing and examining how learning happens, as they unfold . Perspectivity frames how learners, teachers, and researchers make meaning of events from both individual and multiple points of viewing.Learners have been able to integrate a variety of digital media forms into documents. Multimedia, hypermedia, new media are the terms we have used to describe this use of visual media in learning. Of course, this is not the beginning of our use of a variety of media to learn. People have always used diverse visual media to communicate with each other and learn. The c hallenge is  how to distribute it.

UBIQUITOUS LEARNING can be defined as an everyday learning environment that supported my mobile and embedded computers and wireless network in our every life. Ubiquitous have four characteristic first Immediacy, Interactivity, Situated instructional activities, Adaptability. Immediacy is wherever a student is he/she can immediately access learning materials. Interactivity is online collaboration with teachers and peers. Situated instructional activities is learning in context. Adaptability is getting the right information at the right place for the right student.MOOC is a massive open online course Massive open online courses offer an exciting range of opportunities to widen access and participation in education. The massive and open nature of MOOC places the control of learning at the discretion of the learner. Therefore, it is essential to understand learner behavior.

                   People media is people are media themselves since they have the ability for mass communication.In every step of the development of technology and other types of media, people media was present they made the existence of all types of media possible .They were the transmitters of information they were information sources, before all of the other media was made available.People media has a two characteristic the people as media and people in media.People in media they are the people behind another form of media.The examples of people media is journalist, news reporter, media practitioner.People as media they are the media itself.The examples of people as media is opinion leaders, social journalist, citizen journalist.

MEDIA SHOWCASES DIFFERENT CULTURAL PRACTICES AND IT HELPS PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD TO UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER AND EMBRACE THEIR DIFFERENCES.MEDIA SERVE AS A GOOD SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT  THROUGH MUSIC AND  TELEVISION PROGRAMS.MEDIA ALSO EDUCATES PEOPLE THROUGH TELEVISION AND RADIO PROGRAMS,PEOPLE  GET TO LEARN  ABOUT THE HEALTH MATTERS, ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION, AND MUCH MORE.
